ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL PRODUCERS INSOMNIAC EVENTS ANNOUNCE NEW MUSIC FESTIVALS IN LAS VEGAS

Vincent Do March 19, 2014
Electric Daisy Carnival event producers Insomniac Events announced earlier this year that they will be adding two music festivals to their annual Las Vegas lineup, to now include Beyond Wonderland and Nocturnal Wonderland, which originated in Southern California where the company's roots are held.

Insomniac's branches have grown to reach as far as New York, Orlando, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and London, and their first massive was Electric Daisy Carnival in 2011. In 2013, that Vegas Daisy carnival bloomed into the largest electronic music festival in the world, drawing a staggering 345,000 party-goers over three days and pumping an astounding $621 million into the city's economy. Following such success, it was only a natural move for the company to expand with additional large-scale shows much like how Vegas' other entertainment players continue to evolve, expand, and offer locals and tourists alike greater and more abundant experiences.

Unlike EDC, which left it's Los Angeles home to Las Vegas in due to safety concerns, Insomniac CEO Pasquale Rotella stated that the new Las Vegas festivals will not replace the LA versions but rather serve as expansions to accommodate popular demand while new Southern California venues are being sought. The single-day Beyond Wonderland and two-day Nocturnal Wonderland draw about 50,000 each.

Nocturnal Wonderland and Beyond Wonderland Vegas dates have not been announced but EDS will remain at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Rotella revealed Insomniac will be holding these new events at a new venue. It will be exciting to see what's on the horizon for Insomniac and Las Vegas' booming electronic music scene.
